I Believe I'll Move The Mountains

Bryce Avary (singer/musician of The Rocket Summer) is the most stunning person. Of all time. "Of Men and Angels" has to be my favourite album right now, I am absolutely addicted! "Roses" and "Walls" are a couple of songs you muuuust listen to as soon as possible, so lovely.

Today was the first day in a long time I've had a chance to get out to take pictures when the sun was still up! That's the trouble with it getting dark outside by 5 pm, as you can tell the sun is already setting in these pictures and it was only 3:30!! It makes me sad and sleepy, but at the same time I just focus on the fact that after tomorrow it is only going to get brighter earlier and earlier every day! How exciting :) I just got this coat at my favourite store in the city, Tonic. I also got these boots from Zara on my Calgary trip, one of my favourite purchases the whole trip! Well, every purchase is always my favourite because clothing just makes me happy, but I get an every day use out of these boots :)

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I can't believe it's only 5 days away!! I'm still not done shopping, yikes. Hopefully I can get everything bought and wrapped before the big day arrives. I love Christmastime, it's amazing to be around friends and family with so much joy in our hearts. I wish you all the best at this special time!

Hope
xoxo

Just Carry Me Home Tonight

One of my all time favourite voices, Nate Ruess, has released a new single with his band fun. and I am just ecstatic. I felt the need to share it with the internet! Because, after all, it is pure bliss. My week has been a little tough, some stress and just some bad situations, and music has really been my shoulder I've been leaning on. It always helps through the rough patches in life when I feel like I have nothing else to count on to bring me back up. So next time you're feeling down, please take a listen to songs like this! You just can't go wrong with a unique voice, beautiful lyrics and music that seems to lift the soul.

I also just watched My Sisters Keeper for the first time, and now know why no one would go with me in theatres! Okay okay, I cry in movies, but it's usually not embarrassing or anything crazy. This movie on the other hand, well, let's just say I got a little messy. So fantastic regardless of the sadness and unresolved ending, but what I loved the most is that it was real. It was life. It didn't hide the hard times that come along with any time life puts some weight on your shoulders, and it showed the amazing times you can have despite everything crappy going on around you. That you can smile, no matter how much it seems like there is nothing left to look forward too, that there's always going to be something to keep you going. It had a great message, a real story, and it seemed to fit with my life right now. Can't go wrong with that! Really hit home, and I loved it.

Anyway, enough rambling!! Just wanted to share some words.
Have a great Saturday night kittehs :)

We Part With A Letter

Ellie Goulding, you are absolutely splendid. Anyone with such a unique and distinct voice steals a little piece of my soul when I hear them sing. I think one of the best things about music is that it can remind you of a specific time in your life with just a few notes or words. I'm also someone that loves to reminisce on the past, so it's a bonus for me! Most of the time, haha.

Sorry to tell you, I still don't have new pictures to post up on here, it has been too chilly this past week to get me out of my big winter jacket! But I can give you all some advice: Go. See. The. Muppets. It is absolutely fantastic, I loved it so much I saw it twice in one week! If you miss out on seeing it in theatres, you will only live to regret it. I promise you that!! The music, the laughter, and just the pure joy you will get out of it will fill your heart with love. It did for me at least :)

Have a great afternoon! xoxo

Why Can't This Crazy Love Be Mine

Calgary. Was. Amazing.
Why I am still in this tiny city I'm unsure of, but hey! At least the people rock.
Anyway, I absolutely adored shopping in Calgary, so much so that I didn't get any cute instragrams or pictures to show you, but I got enough clothing to last me at least 5 blog posts so that was totally worth it in my opinion. Now to figure out where to put the clothes...yikes.

I'll have some good updates for you soon! For now I have to reorganize my entire closet, watch this week's Glee and Gossip Girl (so addicted, Blair Waldorf is my idol) and then spend the rest of my day playing the new Zelda game. Which MAY be as good as OoT (may is the key word, because let's be honest. That's a pretty big claim to make!)

Hopefully everyone in America is having a lovely Thanksgiving and is excited for Black Friday! I wish we had that here! Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

Later kitties! xoxo

Calgary Bound!

Well, me and the work girls are heading to Calgary this afternoon and I am sooo excited to shop :) We are also heading to Banff for some time in the hot springs. I am in desperate need of some cute winter clothes and sometimes this city isn't the best place for shopping (or more like all the time...)

Anyway, have a lovely weekend!! I'll probably get some good instagrams to post for you once I'm back.
Take care kittens! xo

Ps, I did Nyancat nails, I thought they were funny :)

Feelin' Like P. Diddy

So this isn't as much a "fashion" post as it is a "here's the silly outfit I wore on Halloween!" post! I went out this past weekend as Ke$ha, and had a blast. Even though no one knew who I was until I told them (except one person! who I loved), I loved dressing up like her and waking up in a bed full of glitter and hairspray. It was also my cousin's birthday, so many reasons to celebrate!

My play is opening tonight, and I am both excited beyond on words and nervous beyond belief. I have faith in my kids, and I know they will do an amazing job! I'll be at the back of the theatre, watching and pacing the entire show and will end the night with a smile of pride on my face :)

Anyway, here's Ke$ha and friends!

The Earth Laughs in Flowers

My best friend and I went out for a fall walk this weekend around campus, and it's times like that when I really appreciate Saskatchewan. The colours are absolutely stunning right now and I can't get enough! I love spending my evenings out looking at the trees by the river, it just makes my heart do a little skip and a hop.

I've been watching Dirty Dancing almost daily for the past two weeks, and it has made me decide to take ballroom dance lessons! My cousin and I are going to sign up to learn the Tango and the Waltz. I'm really looking forward to it! I've always wanted to dance elegantly like the women in the olden days.

Back Into The World of the Living

Today I went back to work!! It was great to actually be around people that weren't my family, as much as I love them I can only handle the same few people for so long. The swelling in my face is almost down and I officially look like a human again, which is just splendid! I also had rehearsal today, which probably means nothing to anyone since I've neglected to mention anything about this on my blog so far. I'm co-directing a play! It's at my old high school, so it feels weird....but great to be back in that theatre. I missed the smell, the atmosphere and the wonderful memories with some of my favourite people from there. I have been adoring spending time with the kids, and it has been pushing me further into realizing how much I would love to go into Education and teach high school students. They brighten my day :)

In other news, I ordered this wonderful Kate Spade case for my Macbook today. I am seriously stoked to get it, I've been eyeing it up for a long time now and finally got the guts to just order it! Love the colour, the texture and absolutely everything about it. It's completely presh (aka precious).

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, I'm looking forward to a bright week :)

So cute, right? :)

Passing Time

So I've recently had my wisdom teeth pulled and it turned into an infection and I've been looking like a chipmunk a week before winter hibernation for the past little while. It has not been pleasant, but I've had a lot of me time which has been nice...at times, it's also been lonely. Thankfully my best friend came over to visit me on Friday night, what a lovely girl. I've mostly just been watching Dirty Dancing, sleeping and goofing around with my nails. Thought I'd share the silly nails I did this week - little chicks! In eggs!!

Enjoy :)

And as you can see, I was clever and positioned my face so you can barely see the puffiness! That was just for your benefit, so you're welcome!

I'm Bound to Fall for You

So The Black Keys have really been bringing me a million smiles lately. I have been seriously enjoying listening to them while driving in my car, drinking a cold green tea lemonade and wearing some sweet shades. Nothing feels better than sunshine and good music :) Today we opened our new store at work, so we have said good riddance to the kiosk! Hello to space, air conditioning and music. While we were on a "break" (sneaking away from work) from moving everything, I got a few got shots in that I'll share with you! All in all, a splendid weekend full of adventures and new beginnings.
